Dear Ms Doyle, With reference to your recent letter I would like to point out that National Inventory record is now completely outdated and irrelevant due to the extensions and renovations we have carried out. These extensions are present on your site map and were subject to an earlier planning application. I can see no benefit to listing the building at this point when extensive works have already taken place. Further there remain numerous examples of exactly the same type of building in the locality without such works having been carried out. If the building is to be listed it should be listed in its existing condition not the condition it was in 10 years ago. However as I have stated I can see no benefit to such a listing at this point.
